Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction, also called liposculpture, is a vast improvement over traditional liposuction. The physician "inflates" the patient's fat with a diluted local anesthetic before he/she vacuums it out in a process called suction aspiration. This eliminates risks associated with the general anesthesia used in traditional liposuction.

Another major advantage of the anesthesia used in the tumescent procedure is that it practically eliminates blood loss by constricting (tightening) blood vessels. In traditional liposuction, no such agents are used, with patients sometimes experiencing significant bleeding and even needing blood transfusions.

Tumescent liposculpture also allows the patient to remain awake during the procedure and able to assist the surgeon in gauging the completeness and evenness of fat removal. The patient can actually sit or stand and make side-to-side comparisons. Try that using general anesthesia!

Using the tumescent method, all liposuction cases can be performed entirely with local anesthesia. The treated area can remain numb for up to 24 hours, greatly reducing post-operative discomfort

Hair Transplants

Customized treatment plans for individual patients using the latest techniques and technology make it possible to successfully compensate for thinning hair or baldness. During hair transplants, thin strips of skin containing hair are taken from the back of the scalp and placed in tiny holes in the bald or thinned area. The grafted hair falls out after the procedure but then grows back and should last as long as the hair from the area in which it was taken.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin Resurfacing

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) skin resurfacing technology uses high-energy pulses of light to provide long-lasting results. IPL skin resurfacing, collagen stimulation, vein therapy and photoepilation improve skin texture and appearance and remove hair from any area of the body without damaging nearby tissue. Hair, veins or pigmented regions on the skin surface selectively absorb the pulses of light, shrinking or fading after treatment; collagen tightens, smoothing the skin. Patients can return to work and all regular activities immediately after the procedure. Skin appearance should improve soon after treatment. Hair loss is immediate and long-lasting. Several treatments may be desired for optimal results.

Titan™

The Titan™ is a safe, non-surgical procedure that uses an infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. The Titan™ device uniformly distributes heat below the skin, causing collagen contraction, while preserving the outer layer of skin through continuous cooling. This process stimulates long-term collagen rebuilding, leaving patients with younger-looking skin. The Titan™ is cleared for treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperature and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.
